About Me

Helping couples slow down, reconnect, and truly experience their wedding day.

Hi, I'm Zandra..

Photography didn’t start as a business plan for me. It started as clarity.

I’ve always been creative. Art was the place where I could express things that didn’t always have words. For a long time, I thought that path would lead me into fine art — until life took a different direction.

In 2009, I borrowed my first camera before a trip to Cape Town. One evening, I climbed Lion’s Head and watched the sun set over the ocean. Sitting there, taking photos and just being in the moment, something shifted inside me.

Not excitement.
Not adrenaline.

Clarity.

For the first time in my life, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

Within a month, I sold my car, left college, bought my first camera and went all in. I photographed anything I could. I learned by doing, by experimenting, by making mistakes and figuring things out on my own.

In 2010, I photographed my first paid wedding for R1500.

The early years weren’t easy. The wedding industry was competitive, and there wasn’t much community or guidance at the time. Back then, photography wasnt seen as a real job, and my family struggled to accept that this was the career choice I had made.

But inside, there was peace. Because for the first time I was doing something that genuinely made me happy — and I knew I wasn’t going to give it up.

More than a decade later, what still draws me to weddings isn’t just photography.

It’s people.

I’m fascinated by the way people love each other, by family dynamics, by the small quiet moments that happen when no one thinks anyone is watching.

I love helping couples relax into themselves and reconnect with why they’re there in the first place.

Weddings can feel overwhelming. Timelines move fast, emotions run high, and sometimes people forget to just breathe and be present.

Part of my role is to gently bring couples back to that moment.

Sometimes I’m quietly observing.
Sometimes I’m guiding.
Sometimes I’m bringing energy and helping people have fun.

But always, I’m paying attention to connection.

Because years from now, I don’t want you to just remember what your wedding looked like.

I want you to remember what it felt like.

The genuine laughter.
The way your people held you.
The quiet moments you didn’t realise were happening.

Those are the pictures I want you to feel and the moments that I want

If you’re looking for someone who will help you slow down, reconnect, and truly experience your wedding day, I’d love to hear about your plans.
